Tickets are now available for Empire State Film Festival at Cinemapolis in Ithaca! The three-day festival runs Friday, October 23rd - Sunday, October 25th and showcases narative films of all types produced in New York State. Our debut program includes 46 films (features and shorts), 30 of which are scheduled to be represented by attending filmmakers.
Our Opening Night Feature, Friday at 8:00 PM is Larry Fessenden's TRAUMA OR, MONSTERS ALL, which had its Wold Premiere at Fantasia in Montreal!
Admission is extremely affordable: Cinemapolis' regular prices apply for single blocks, and $20 Day Passes and $50 Festival Passes will be available at the box office. To purchase single block tickets online, create a free account at www.cimepapolis.org and enter the date you're interested in (October 23rd, 24th or 25th).

On Thursday, Oct. 22nd, the eve of Empire State Film Fetival, festival director Gregory Lamberson will conduct a FREE workshop, "How to Produce a Feature Film," at Tompkins County Library, 110 East Green Street (just down the street from Cinemapolis), from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM, with a meet-and-greet at 5:30. This event will also serve as an introduction to the festival, and as a networking opportunity for local filmmakers.

Our Opening Night Feature is Trauma or, Monsters All, Larry Fessenen's critically acclaimed arthoue nod to Universal Stuios' classic monster mashes, featuring a manmade monster, a wolf man, and a vampire in a quiet upstate New York town.
Our Saturday night feature, written and directed by attending filmmaker Jay Leonard, is a dramedy about a man whose plans to finally leave his small upstate town are upended when he meets an outgoing woman.
Sunday afternoon's lineup includes a feminist horror-thriller from first-time writer-director (and attending filmmaker) Many Hebblethwaite set in Buffalo, New Yok. Two young women are imperiled by a stranger when one uses a dating app.
