The inaugural Empire State Film Festival runs Friday, October 23rd to Sunday, October 25th at Cinemapolis in Ithaca, New York. We are screening a total of 46 films produced in New York State.

Our Opening Night Feature is Larry Fessenden's Trauma or, Monsters All, the concluding chapter of his "monster universe" quadrilogy (Habit, Depraved, Blackout). Set in the fictional town of Talbot Falls, Trauma is an arthouse horror film with more on its mind than jump scares. Larry reprises his role as the vampire "Sam" from Habit. Also starring Laetitia Hollard (The Pit) as a journalist investigating a manmade monster (Alex Breau) and a wolfman (Alex Hurt).
